Established in 2003, Direct Office Supply is a leading UK supplier of office and home office furniture to businesses, individuals, and government organisations.
INDEZ was commissioned to replatform Direct Office Supply's legacy (12 year old) Joomla/Virtuemart website to a new B2C/B2B Magento 2 website. The new website was launched in December 2022.
The new Magento 2 website is built on top of INDEZ's UX Responsive Framework which is optimised for maximum device compliance, fast page load times, Core Web Vitals compliance, user experience and high conversion rates.
All products, attributes, images, categories & product/category assignments and other pages were migrated from Direct Office Supplies legacy Joomla Virtuemart platform to the new Magento 2 website.
The new website is now hosted on a super-secure Sonassi PaaS platform which can auto-scale to adapt dynamically to traffic spikes. The website is also protected by a secure Cloudflare CDN and Web Application Firewall with PCI AVS scanning.
The new website also includes essential B2B functionality e.g.
in addition to letting all customers pay with a variety of the latest payment methods and digital wallets e.g.
While a relatively small Ecommerce business with a few million in turnover, Direct Office Supply has over 90% automation across all marketing channels, platforms & integrations. (This avoids the need for a dedicated in-house marketing team).
One of the most challenging parts of any website replatform is maintaining the SEO footprint. The Direct Office Supply migration went flawlessly with no detectable dip in SEO or sales other than the usual seasonal traffic.
Our INDEZ UX responsive framework ensures the website frontend exceeds all Google Core Web Vitals with rapid page load times. This makes Direct Office Supply is one of the fastest loading Ecommerce websites in their sector and passes all mobile/desktop Core Web Vitals.
The website also sits on a secure, auto-scaling Sonassi PaaS stack with PCI-DSS ASV scans and a Cloudflare CDN/WAF for added speed improvements.
